A Flowmeter is an apparatus that meters movement of fluid in a conduit of an open space.  The fluid can be Water, Fuel, Chemical, Gas Air, Steam and Solids. Some of the types of flow meters are Ultrasonic, Ultrasonic Doppler, Magnetic, Vortex, Turbine, Coriolis, Multiphase, Mass Flowmeters, Mass Gas Flowmeters, Positive Displacement, Variable Area, Velocity, Volumetric, and Vortex shedding.
